Purpose

Sports have played a key role in Madison County's history. Sports have brought communities together throughout the county, encouraged friendly competition, brought regional and state recognition to special teams, individual athletes, and coaches. For more than a century, sports have given the citizens of Madison County a sense of pride..

To recognize and honor that history, a group of sports-minded citizens has come together to organize a Board of Directors for  the purpose of establishing a Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.

The Madison County Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors will enshrine individuals who have excelled as athletes, built outstanding coaching careers, served in valuable administrative and community sports leadership or volunteer roles, been instrumental as members of the sports media or SID professions in keeping the community informed of sports achievements, and recognize special teams that have achieved significant honors and milestones.

The Board of Directors is inviting the Madison County
